The VOLTA line —of Canadian origin, with patents approved in North America and Europe— includes MVROT (regulation and optimization in medium voltage), VROT (low voltage) and VTOP (dry-type transformer with reclosing and automation). The manufacturer’s documentation reports a reduction of distribution losses from around 10% to about 4%, a return on investment of 2 to 3 years or less, harmonic filtering, better load balance and loss location with GPS coordinates. There is also a pilot project program with no equipment or technical intervention cost, to validate results before any purchase decision. These figures are validated with measurements, comparable cases and the real conditions of each network before being published as a commercial promise.

Does VOLTA guarantee reducing losses to a fixed value?

It should not be presented as a general guarantee. Figures are reported benefits and must be validated according to topology, load and conditions.

Can it integrate with SCADA?

Documentation reports SCADA integration. Feasibility depends on protocols, infrastructure, cybersecurity and compatibility.

Do I need an electrical study to start?

Not necessarily. Send diagrams, bills or a description of the problem and we will indicate what measurements are needed.

Can I test the equipment before deciding to buy?

There is a manufacturer pilot project program, with no equipment or technical intervention cost, to validate results on the client’s network. Scope is defined based on interest and the conditions of each case.
